Abandoned orange kitten found in midst of rural highway in pitch darkness by driver coming home from work in the rain, he calls her "Pumpkin" and takes her home

• “CDS hot off the press, meet pumpkin”

  So here's the story:

  First and Foremost, not my Fur baby, it's my brothers.

  my brother, this past Thursday, was coming home from work, he lives in a rural/Country like town, where miles are in between each neighbor. it was cold, rainy/dark evening since it was dark by the time he was heading home. And these back country roads are dark and fast, needing brights on to see, and plus its a constant 50/55 on these roads. well he normally uses just his overhead lights which give him enough illumination to see, but this particular time he turned own The street he decided to turned his brights on and as he did, he saw two copper penny eyes glowing. So, he slowed down, pulled over, Lights/hazards on. and upon going to the scene, he discovered her over the top of her mother, from the looks of the situation. so my brother picked her up and took her home. for the night, he sequestered her in the barn/Cabin for the night. following morning, Looked at her better, cleaned her up/bathed her. and separated her till the upcoming vet appointment.

  Has she been checked for a Chip? no, and we highly doubt it. since due to the land, area and town, they have a lot of strays from barn animals and what not in these parts. but for good measure He will be checking that come this Wednesday to get her looked at, vaccinated and taken care. Closest appointment he could get for her.

  Also upon further inspection from looking at her teeth and current growth state, from what I've seen through age imaging in teeth, I believe she's about 2 months old/8 weeks.

  Tell your brother, congrats on his new kitten. Very sorry about the mom. That he as to be traumatic for the little guy.

• The way he saw her through the fog, through the blur of traffic lights and lurid colors is simply fate. There's no other way to put it. You can imagine the scene: desolate town, rural countryside, a man on his way home from work in the rain, but somehow cosmic forces decided that an orange fluff and a lonely man need to collide.
